Townsville

Townsville Football Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation and has been established in Townsville since 1966.

During 2005, Townsville Junior Soccer Association, as we were formerly known, amalgamated with the former North Queensland (Senior) Soccer Federation to form Townsville Football Inc.

The office of Townsville Football operates at Brolga Park, Murray Sporting Complex with the company of the North Queensland Football Zone.  Brolga Park in 2009 will comprise of 23 maintained playing fields, with sponsored naming rights to all fields each year.

The Townsville, North Queensland Zone consists of 16 Clubs which are a combination of Junior and Senior players.

Currently, the combined Junior and Senior membership for North Queensland stands at more than 4,500 players who come from Townsville, Ingham, Ayr and Charters Towers.  We expect our player numbers to grow rapidly with the inception of the Hyundai A-League North Queensland team for the 2009/2010 season.

Our grounds are also used by Primary and Secondary schools for weekly interschool fixtures on Thursday and Friday afternoons, as well as for School Representative Competitions and trainings.

The North Queensland Referees Association is also based at Brolga Park and utilizes our grounds for training.
